Dr. Tatum Armstrong, DVM, grew up in the Calgary area with beloved pets always being an important part of her life. Her passion for the human-animal bond and medicine inspired her to pursue a career as a veterinarian. She spent three years at the University of Alberta completing an Animal Biology Specialization program and was then accepted to the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Throughout veterinary school, Tatum continued to develop a passion for small animal medicine, and her interests include emergency medicine, general practice, and internal medicine. After receiving her DVM degree with distinction, she pursued and completed a yearlong rotating internship at a specialty emergency hospital in Calgary. In 2020 Tatum joined the team at Fish Creek 24 Hr Pet Hospital.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, yoga, hiking, camping, and unwinding with her tabby cat, Fawn.
