Katie

Katie Grant, Veterinary Practice Manager,was born and raised in Calgary. Growing up, Katie always had a love for all animals. Following high school, Katie travelled to Australia, where she lived, worked, and fell in love with scuba diving. Upon returning to Calgary, she immediately started working at a dive shop where she gradually obtained her divemaster certification, which relocated her to live and work on Pender Island, British Columbia. When Katie moved back to Calgary, she earned a diploma in Criminal Justice and began her 10-year career as a flight attendant. After 10 years of adventure, Katie decided it was time to “hang up her wings,” so she could be home more. She received her Real Estate License and partnered with her brother as a Realtor® for the following 5 years. During these 5 years, Katie began working at Fish Creek as a Tech Assistant two days per week. She quickly grew fond of this position, moving into a full-time supervisor role. In 2018, Katie left the Real Estate business and eagerly moved into the Practice Manager role at Fish Creek while obtaining her Veterinary Practice Manager certificate from Olds College.

When Katie is not working, you’ll find her spending time with her 4 pets, two dogs and two cats; three of which were rescues who received extensive medical treatment from Fish Creek. Katie’s passion is golf; she plays 3-4 rounds per week and enjoys playing in competitive tournaments.
